We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which Cowra Civic Centre is built, the Wiradjuri – the original storytellers, musicians, dancers, artists and culture makers of this region. We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging.
Join us at Cowra Civic Centre for a cuppa, a scone and great live music.
Some people pack their bags and head off for an adventure and some stay right where they are. No matter what everyone has a story to tell. And extraordinary singer-songwriter Lisa Richards certainly has.
Cradling her guitar as she blends the traditions of folk, country, blues and jazz, Lisa takes audiences on a journey that spans five decades. From growing up in Far North Queensland, to singing in the subways of Sydney, performing in the iconic venues of New York City and a life in Texas, her journey has now brought her home again to Australia. A powerful and endearing sound, she performs songs of longing, love, and hope.
Enjoy a cuppa and a scone before settling in for 90 minutes of incredible music and storytelling from nouveau chanteuse, Lisa Richards and her band.
“A captivating performer with a sly wit and an uncanny ability to touch every heart in the room while giving the intellect something to chew on.”
