We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which Cowra Civic Centre is built, the Wiradjuri – the original storytellers, musicians, dancers, artists and culture makers of this region. We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging.
Arts OutWest is pleased to continue in conjunction with Cowra Civic Centre our series of Live & Kicking shows featuring original music artists from The Central West .
This next session features Orange local Robbie Mortimer.
A born story teller Robbie released his second album “200 years too Late” which upon release climbed into the Top 10 of the ITunes Pop Charts and received glowing critical response with Sam Bolt from The Western Advocate describing it as “200 Years Too Late explores the extremes of love and loss, as well as the power struggle between dreams and reality, and there’s only one word for Mortimer’s efforts: incredible!”
Robbie has recently toured the North East Coast of NSW in support of his album, which he kicked off with a sold out Live & Kicking Meet the Songwriter show in Orange. Robbie knows how to give a an audience a good time as he proved headlining two massive nights at Nashville Nights and during his set at The Enliven Festival supporting Eskimo Joe & Jon Stevens.
This will be a gig night not to be missed as Robbie heat things up running through songs from both of his albums and some new tunes he has written during a recent visit to Nashville.
