The script is based on the 1994 animated film of the same name, featuring music by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice. It is set in Pride Rock, where lion cub prince Simba has been presented to the colony. Simba will one day be king. His Uncle Scar wants the crown for himself and will stop at nothing to get it, resulting in trouble for King Mufasa. Upset, Simba flees the colony and leaves the kingdom to Scar. On his journey, he meets some unexpected allies - Timon the Meercat and Pumba the Warthog, who teach him about life. When he meets up with his childhood friend and not so little lioness, Nala, it's time to return to the kingdom and reclaim the crown. Featuring songs Circle of Life, I Just Can't Wait to Be King, Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, One by One, The Lioness Hunt, Be Prepared, The Stampede, Shadowland and more. The production is full of singing, acting and dancing, it will be a show you will never forget! Don't miss your chance to see the incredibly talented students of St Raphael's Catholic School present The Lion King Jr live on stage! Friday night is sold out.
